Simchat Torah is the annual celebration and re-rolling of the Torah. Traditionally, Jews take the torahs out, dance with them, sing, eat, drink, and generally exude happiness. It is also traditional to chant the torah.

In many congregations, the Rabbi or Spiritual Leader starts chanting the end of Deuteronomy and then, in the same breath, runs to the other end and chants the beginning of B’reishit.
